Panther Dash is back and we want YOU to prowl the 5k with us! Lace up your running shoes and grab your closest sisters/friends/family for the return of the Panther Dash for Education 5k - an event you don't want to miss this year!

For the first time ever, registrants will get a custom made, limited edition pink and purple Panther Dash medal that spins in the center with a custom made ribbon (while supplies last)!

The Sigma Lambda Gamma Education Foundation (SLGEF) mobilizes the giving power of our donors to support scholastic achievement, provide and continue the commitment to life-long learning and service to the global community.

The SLGEF along with our SLG Leadership encourages sisters across the nation to mobilize their bodies and participate in the Panther Dash for Education 5k. As with all SLG initiatives, the Panther Dash for Education 5K supports the empowerment of women by providing Gammas, friends, and family the opportunity to walk, jog, or run a 5k race while raising funds to support the SLG Education Foundation.

FAQ

Where is the race?
Glad you asked! There are two answers to this question. If you are attending National Retreat this summer in Nashville, TN, then we will see you ON SITE for Panther Dash in Nashville. If you cannot attend National Retreat, but still want to run the race wherever you are, then gather the closest sisters near you on July 1, and run/walk a 5k route of your choice. By doing this, you will be participing in the nationwide VIRTUAL Panther Dash 5K race.

What is a "virtual" race?
A virtual race is a race you can do anywhere, anytime! You choose the location and the time. Throughout the race, share your pictures and experience with the SLGEF social media outlets.

Do virtual runners have to run the same day of the live event in Nashville?
No. As a virtual runner, you will be allowed to select a day to run that best fits your schedule. We highly encourage sisters to run within the month of the July. You can participate solo or with sisters, friends or family in your area.

How will I receive my finisher's medal?
Finisher medals are limited. The first 300 registrants (combination of on site and virtual runners) will receive this one of kind medal. On site runners will recieve their medal at the finish line in Nashville. Virtual runners will recieve their medal within 1 to 2 weeks after July 1 regardless of when the runner registers.

What if I wanted to purchase two medals, will I have to register twice?
Yes. Two medals = two separate registrations.

How do I set up a virtual race?
If you are an entity or group of sisters wanting to host a Panther Dash group run in your city, please be sure to: 1.) Pick a location that is well lit and known to you. Visit the location at the time you will be hosting the race to ensure lighting and safety of participants. 2.) Encourage all runners to register immediately to ensure they receive our commemorative medal.

Who can participate?
ANYONE! If you can walk, jog or run a 5K, you can participate! Feel free to invite all of your friends and family to participate with you! This event is open to sisters, friends and family!

I'm not sure I can run a 5K, can I still participate?
Yes! You do not have to run. You can walk, jog, run, or do a combination of all three - just get to the finish line!

Why are we doing this again?
Proceeds from the Panther Dash will go to the Sigma Lambda Gamma Education Foundation, which serves to support scholastic achievement and continue the commitment to life-long learning and service through scholarships for sisters of Sigma Lambda Gamma.
